Rotherham
A South Yorkshire town, which together with its settlements that are outlying to the south-east, south, and north, and conurbation forms the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, is Rotherham (/ˈrɒ ərəm/), England, with a recorded population of 257,280 in the 2011 census. Instigated the Jesus College or College of Jesus building, Rotherham to rival the Oxford and Cambridge colleges, was Thomas Rotherham, the Rotherham-born York Archbishop, in the 1480s.
